[post_content] => GPAC Presents as a part of the 2026 Season
Celebrating its 35th year, Flickerfest stands as Australia's premier Academy® Award and BAFTA-qualifying short film festival. As the nation's largest short film competition, it showcases outstanding Australian and international shorts selected from almost 3,600 entries. Flickerfest presents an A-list line-up recognised globally for its excellence, spotlighting some of the best short films from around the world.
Flickerfest screens for 10 days under the summer stars at Bondi Beach in January, with selected highlights of the most entertaining and innovative short films from Australia & around the world touring the country on a 45 venue national tour.
Flickerfest returns with this annual one-off chance to see the 'Best of Australian Shorts' programme officially selected for Flickerfest National Tour, before these films continue their journey around the world.
