[post_content] => The 2026 Canberra and Region Heritage Festival is back from Saturday 11 April to Sunday 10 May, with plenty to see across the Goulburn Mulwaree Region.
The Canberra and Region Heritage Festival is coordinated by ACT Heritage, part of the ACT Government’s City and Environment Directorate. ACT Heritage works with the community to recognise, protect and celebrate heritage places and objects in the region.
The festival is a celebration of the rich heritage and invites the community to come together, share stories, explore traditions and discover the cultural connections that have shaped the city and its surrounds.
The 2026 festival theme Mid-Century - innovation, change and optimism explores a distinctive period in Canberra’s development that is unique in Australia to the Territory and surrounding region. You’ll learn about the buildings, ideas and people that helped shape it into what it is today.
Some of the amazing things you can see across the Goulburn Mulwaree Region are a detailed Tour of the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre 'Past Lives of a Theatre, A Heritage Tour', The Goulburn Wetlands - From Brickworks to Wetlands, a series of Self Guided Historic Walks across Goulburn from History Goulburn, Goulburn's Historic Cemeteries Self -Guided Tours, Gallery on Track within the Historic 19th Century Railway Barracks, Goulburn's Historic Waterworks Museum, the 'In their Honour' Exhibition a Century of Remembrance at the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum, Echoes from Scotland a Baroque Mystery as well as a Baroque Scottish Music Exhibition at Riversdale Homestead, a Goulburn Club Historic Tour, and a Self Guided Heritage Tour around the Heart of Goulburn.
