Step inside and explore three levels of displays that showcase Australia’s fine wool history. Climb up to the viewing platform for a unique lookout from Rambo’s eyes, and finish with a browse through the gift shop featuring locally made wool products, souvenirs, and clothing. 

2. Feel The Need For Speed? 

Did you know that Goulburn was the home to Australia’s First Motorcycle Grand Prix (1924) and Motor Car Grand Prix (1927)? You can explore the memorial at the Goulburn Recreation Centre or if you really want to get your heart racing, check out the Goulburn Motor Cycle Club who hold regular motorcross track days or head to One Raceway where vintage cars might be doing laps, the Australian Superbike Championships might be on or maybe you could do a lap or two on your own.  

3. Step Back in Time at Riversdale 

Riversdale Historic Homestead is a beautifully preserved 19th-century home filled with period furnishings that is now part of the National Trust. Wander through the house and gardens to get a glimpse of early colonial life in Goulburn. A few times a year, Riversdale opens its doors of an evening so as night falls you can experience a Riversdale Twilight tour. One not to be missed.

Train lovers won’t want to miss this heritage rail museum. The Goulburn Roundhouse Turntable is the largest operating turntable in New South Wales. Explore old locomotives, carriages, and memorabilia, and step back into the golden age of rail travel in Goulburn.

Open four days a week, this is a historic and heritage listed masterpiece that deserves to be explored. On select weekends, you can also see the engines in action with dedicated Steaming Days.

After a 2 year heritage restoration and renovation, The Goulburn Brewery is open and ready for you to enjoy a ‘Wayback’ sparkling ale and delicious meal with family and friends. Don’t forget to purchase some of their made on site beer to take home with you.
