    [post_content] => One Raceway's Youth Driver Training Program is built for pre-learners, learners and P-platers aged 12 and up. You'll arrive at One Raceway at 8:30am and spend the next seven and a half hours behind the wheel doing things you simply can't practise on a public road. We cap each day at 18 drivers, split into three groups of six, and run three activities at once. That means you're driving, not standing around waiting for your turn.

Most driving lessons teach you how to pass a test. This one teaches you what your car actually does when things go wrong, and lets you find out in a controlled environment instead of a public road on a rainy night.

You'll learn to brake in an emergency and feel what happens when the car loses grip on a wet surface. We'll show you some basic vehicle maintenance skills, because understanding your car goes beyond just driving it. Then the afternoon puts it all to work: hazard perception and avoidance, precision parking and safe reversing techniques.

For the final hour, you'll head out onto the One Raceway circuit behind an instructor. You'll learn where to position the car, how to look through a corner, when to brake and turn in, and how to use the full width of the track. Lap by lap, you'll put together a smooth run and clip your first kerb. For a 14-year-old, that's a memory for life. Parents, you'll want your phone ready.

We genuinely recommend bringing the car you (or your family) own. However, if that's not an option, you can use one of our on-site driver training vehicles.

The program costs $299 in your own car or $349 in one of ours. With only 18 spots per session, places will go quickly - book now to secure your spot.
