Your journey begins behind the magnificent steam locomotive R766, as the train departs Canberra and winds its way through the breathtaking scenery of the Molonglo Gorge — a breathtaking stretch of railway where rugged landscapes, sweeping curves and historic rail infrastructure combine to create an unforgettable ride. Settle into your heritage carriage, open the window, and enjoy the sights, sounds and unmistakable atmosphere that only a working steam locomotive can provide.
Arriving in historic Goulburn, passengers will have several relaxed hours to explore Australia’s first inland city at their own pace.
