[post_content] => Exhibiting in Gallery 2 is Goulburn based painter Jonathan Throsby. With a painting practice defined by elaborate brushstrokes and energetic swathes of thick oil paints, Throsby’s works feature all manner of abstracted landscapes and surrealist figures, as well as immaculate beach scenes and mysterious shadows. A finalist in the 2024 Goulburn Art Award, with works held in the National Gallery of Australia and the Heide Museum of Modern Art, this exhibition sees Throsby playing with scale and the figure through his signature mark making.
