[post_content] => The Goulburn Model Expo has been organised by the Georges River Model Railway Club to be held at the Veolia Arena (Goulburn Recreation Area) in Goulburn. The Expo is being held to help promote the hobbies of model railways and plastic kit modelling, helping foster healthy alternatives for the development of our young people. There will be over 70 trade stands and exhibitors across 2 halls at the Veolia Arena displaying model railway layouts and a myriad of plastic models on display.

These vendors will carry everything from basic starter sets for a new modeller, modelling tools and paints, through to highly detailed models and accessories for skilled modellers, and all exhibitors are only too happy to answer any questions that you may have. There will also be a number of clinics where people can observe and learn how to use the modelling skills and methods being shown. There will also be a Community BBQ on offer over the weekend with all proceeds going directly to charity.

A special heritage train, The Southern Highlands Express, has been organised to do a return journey on the Sunday from Central Station to the event and then back on that afternoon.

Event facilities have off and on-street parking, disabled access and a ramp.
