Celebrations are held in Victoria Park, offering a full day of community pride, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
The day begins with a free BBQ breakfast from 7:30am and a junior cricket match on Seiffert Oval from 8:00am. From 9:00am, visitors can explore market stalls, food trucks and local produce. Kids can enjoy roller skating in the Rage Cage with Headspace Goulburn, 3-on-3 basketball with the Goulburn Youth Council, lawn games, a jumping castle and free face painting.
The Citizenship Ceremony commences at 9:00am welcoming Goulburn's newest Australians, followed by the Official Ceremony at 10:00am featuring First Nations performers, local choirs, an Ambassador Address and the presentation of the 2026 Australia Day Awards, including Citizen of the Year, Youth Citizen of the Year, Senior and Junior Sportsperson of the Year, and Community Event of the Year.
After ceremonies, visitors are invited to a Devonshire tea with the CWA in the Ken Robson Pavilion.
Entertainment continues throughout the day with performances by the Lilac City Brass Band, live local musicians and car club displays. A sensory-friendly space, accessible parking, and on-site assistance is provided by the Goulburn Inclusion Forum.
