    [post_content] => In this free workshop at Goulburn Farmers Market, Arian from Canberra Seed Savers will introduce you to saving your seeds.

Seed saving is for everyone - it’s easy, economical and empowering! Learn how to save seeds from your herb and veggie garden. Saving seeds allows more diverse, interesting and resilient varieties of food to be grown, builds our local food security and promotes biodiversity. It means growing varieties that are adapted to your region, and it means saving time and resources when you don't have to buy seeds or seedlings every year. Seed saving is easy, interesting and fun!

In this hands on workshop Arian from Canberra Seed Savers will explain how Seed saving works, how you can get started straight away with no technical knowledge or special equipment. You’ll learn how to save and store seed from some easy vegetables and herbs so you have a wide and resilient seed collection for years to come. And you’ll get to give it a go!

There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and participants go home with a couple of packets of seed and a handout guide to seed saving.
