Youth attending Goulburn Regional Art Gallery’s High School Afternoon Art Club have happily embraced the creative challenge of designing the 2025 ‘Cash for Care’ Goulburn icon outline for the BDCU Goulburn Hospital Fundraising committee.

Students attending Goulburn Regional Art Gallery’s High School Afternoon Art Club embraced their locale by selecting one of their favourite iconic buildings or landmarks and transforming them into a stylised line drawing. One design from the group was selected to scale up and was transferred onto a large sheet by students. In collaboratively reimagining and scaling up the design participants improved their communication, creative problem solving and leadership skills. This year’s ‘Cash for Care’ outline was inspired by Goulburn’s beloved heritage-listed Post Office. Goulburn Post Office has proudly serviced and connected local residents since its construction concluded in 1881. The Gallery wishes to congratulate and thank the enthusiastic High School Afternoon Art Club students for their hard work.

The event, formerly known as ‘the Mile of Pennies’ and ‘Coins for Care’, is now in its 15th year under the rebranded ‘Cash for Care’. Volunteers will be collecting cash (Eftpos available) on Auburn Street and around Goulburn (with businesses permission where onsite) from 9am -12pm on Saturday 11 October 2025 with the cash then deposited to fill the mural outline in the park.
Funds raised by group go directly to Goulburn Base Hospital and are used to purchase equipment that improves patient care and staff wellbeing. The Committee has raised and purchased equipment for the hospital and community health services worth over $800,000 since inception thanks to the community’s generous support.

To celebrate these two pillars of the community, both to appreciate the creative efforts of local youth, and donate to this cause, you can
