Join Jodie Munday this NAIDOC Week for a women’s weaving workshop using sustainably sourced materials to create a coil woven table centrepiece.
In this workshop we will gather together, weave and have a yarn whilst enjoying some stories and music. This workshop will engage female participants, 6 years and older, to socialize and learn new skills together.
Jodie Munday is a woman of mixed heritage who embraces all parts of her ancestry including Celtic, British and Wiradjuri. She has lived locally for many years and has strong connections both to this area, her mother’s country for many generations, and also to her father’s country of Central Western NSW.
Jodie began her art business Cr8ive Art in 2010. Her practice encompasses a broad range of making including drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, wood burning and weaving. Through her practice Jodie expresses her strong connection to country and seeks to inspire audiences to assist with the protection of the natural environment.
Age: Females only, 6 years and older
General audience fee: $45
First Nations attendees: $30
