This edition of The Window has been curated by Jane Purcell and Rose Moor. Jane and Rose have been Gallery Peer Support leaders for the last four years. The program supports the next generation of artists and arts workers in providing opportunity to engage with the Afternoon Art Club program on a volunteer basis. As part of their role, Jane and Rose turn up early to prep and pack down activities, offer assistance to the children with art making and help with documenting the classes. Jane has been attending classes at the Gallery for eight years and has volunteered her Wednesdays for Afternoon Art Club for the last three years. Jane is in year 11 at Mulwaree High School and her favourite subject is English. She really loves fashion and design and hopes to do something creative when she leaves school. 'The Wednesday class is always fun and I love coming to help out because I really enjoy working with Sally and the kids every week'. Rose volunteers her Thursday afternoons to assist with Afternoon Art Club. She is also in year 11 at Mulwaree High and her favourite subjects are Visual Arts and Textiles. Rose would love to work in an 'arty' career after school. 'I really enjoy helping teach art and expanding my knowledge'.
