Summer/Autumn sees the Window become part of our rolling exhibition program. The Window is dedicated to presenting works from the permanent collection and offers an ongoing insight into our holdings for the first time in our thirty seven year history. The Window is a space that can work with, against or beyond the exhibitions in our main galleries and will offer our community new opportunities to curate and critique our collection. Sculptor, animator and Goulburn Regional Art Gallery’s Program and Exhibitions Coordinator, Hannah Gee holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Honours, majoring in sculpture and multimedia, and a Masters of Museum and Heritage Studies. Creating animations from archaeological collections since 2013, her interdisciplinary approach to designing, developing and interpreting exhibitions stems from her nuanced experience on excavation sites and museums in the Mediterranean and Near East. She was the first recipient of the University of Wollongong’s Artist in Residence program with the Australian Archaeological Institute in Athens 2016 and has produced interactive pieces with the Nicholson Museum and Australian Museum. Stepping into our own permanent collection, we wonder what works, stories and artists she will dig up. The Gallery is closed for now. We will continue to post online content though our website, Facebook and Instagram channels.
