The Picnic Train - Goulburn

    [post_content] => Join the team on one of the normally Empty Car transfer trips as they relocate there train around the state. This trip will be from Sydney to Goulburn with steam locomotive R766 and some special guest diesel locomotives. 

The train will depart from Lidcombe Station in Sydney at 11.20am, Pickup & Drop Off at Moss Vale at 3.15pm before the train terminates at Goulburn at 4.30pm. From Goulburn you are able to travel on the Sydney Trains Local Service back to Campbelltown or the Train Link XPT/Endeavour train to Sydney Terminal. (Please book in advance for the Train Link service)

The Buffet Car will be in operation for light snacks and refreshments as you travel, steam hauled through the Southern Highlands. The Picnic Train is a licensed venue and will be offering alcoholic beverages for sale in the Buffer car.

Please Note: All fares are for the ONE WAY trip only in an open window heritage carriage.

Single Ticket (From Lidcombe) - $ 60
Single Ticket (From Moss Vale) - $ 45

Babies and Toddlers: Babies in arms and small toddlers not requiring a booked seat may be brought along at no additional cost.

Prams, wheelchairs and walkers: Due to space restrictions and for the safety of all aboard, large prams and mobility equipment cannot be taken aboard the train. You may bring a small collapsible pram that can be stored in overhead luggage racks. The pram must be collapsed and ready to bring aboard when the train arrives at the platform. If in doubt please call us for further information.

Toilets are available in most carriages. These will be locked while in metropolitan areas.

Mobile Phones: There are no charging points on the heritage carriages. It is recommended that you bring an external battery charger for your mobile devices.
