SUMMARY:Hockey NSW Indoor State Championship – Open Women
DESCRIPTION:Hockey has been played in New South Wales since the early 1900s. The NSW Men’s and Women’s Hockey Associations were formed in 1908\, followed by the NSW Junior Hockey Association in 1960. These Associations eventually merged in 2004\, forming a single administrative entity\, known as Hockey NSW.  \nToday\, Hockey NSW comprises 27 Associations and approximately 30\,000 registered hockey players in regional and metropolitan NSW. The player base represents men\, women\, boys and girls ranging from five years of age in introductory programs to players aged over sixty-five in Masters Programs.  \nHockey NSW is even prouder of the fact that hockey can be considered the only true family game. \nCompetitors will be travelling from Nepean\, Parkes\, Illawarra\, South Coast\, Sydney\, Dubbo\, Grafton\, Bathurst\, Port Macquarie\, and Newcastle as well as local Goulburn teams. \nProudly supported by Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

Enjoy the ambiance of this historic place as you journey through time. Supper on conclusion of the night. \nOnce located on Goulburn’s main street\, Riversdale started life as a coaching inn. The stables\, thought to be Goulburn’s oldest building\, was once a brewery. The property was then run as a boarding school and later opening again as an inn. \nFrom 1875 the Georgian Homestead was home to surveyor Edward Twynam and his wife Emily Rose Twynam\, who had a keen interest in art. In 1893 Emily won a prize for her embroidery at the Chicago International Exhibition. Her artwork is displayed at the property. The heritage garden still retains a number of fruit trees\, the produce of which is sold on site.

Plus\, a chance to dress up in the imaginative genre that combines Victorian elegance with steam-powered innovation\, and if you are game enter the highlight of the Fair\, the costume parade. \nThe Goulburn Historic Waterworks\, situated on the beautiful Wollondilly River\, hosts the annual Steampunk Victoriana Fair\, seeing an influx of characters complementing the Waterworks’ architecture and aesthetic. The Victorian Georgian-style Pumphouse Museum will be open and steaming all day\, with experienced tour guides on hand to talk with you about the magnificent stationary steam engines\, the 1883 Appleby Beam Engine and the 1866 Hick Hargreaves Horizontal Engine. Both are operated by a wood-fired 1960 Spencer Hopwood Cross tube vertical boiler. DESCRIPTION:Goulburn Harness Racing Club Inc operates the Goulburn Paceway and is presided over by a family oriented committee and membership. The historic club is situated at the Goulburn Recreation Area\, 47 Braidwood Road\, Goulburn.  Located just a few minutes from the Goulburn city centre\, the racetrack is conveniently located for fans and racing participants alike. \nThe complex features an outstanding 1050 metre racing circuit which incorporates the very latest science in track design.  It provides superb spectator facilities in the Grace Millsom Function Centre and caters to all the needs which punters\, fans and participants may have.  The Goulburn Paceway is also the resting place of the immortal pacer Walla Walla who inspired a nation during the 1930’s depression era.  A memorial commemorating the champion Standardbred marks his burial site at the top of the home straight. \nThe Goulburn Paceway is also the training base of the Day and Hewitt families who among them have won NSW trainers’ championships\, and numerous classic and feature races. \nRacing 10 times a year\, the club’s racing calendar usually spans the months of September to April inclusive. The club’s feature race meetings are the Hewitt Memorial Race now on the first Sunday in February\, and the Carnival of Cups fixture win April.   A progressive club\, we offer the very best in country harness racing and strive to make a day out at the trots the best it can be for all the family!

Seed saving is easy\, interesting and fun! \nIn this hands on workshop Arian from Canberra Seed Savers will explain how Seed saving works\, how you can get started straight away with no technical knowledge or special equipment. You’ll learn how to save and store seed from some easy vegetables and herbs so you have a wide and resilient seed collection for years to come. The excitable teenage girls often try to take the story into their own realms of fantasy\, but are always brought back to the real text by Jane. \nThis modern adaptation of Jane Austen’s famous story of social snobbery and coming of age is described as ‘admirably lively’ and daringly provocative … it will give Austen fans a lot to ponder over and enjoy. \nEmma is often referred to as Jane Austen’s masterpiece. Contrary to her own well-known declaration that Emma Woodhouse would be “a heroine whom no one but myself will much like\,” most readers do like Emma\, in spite of her faults. She is a modern young woman: energetic\, intelligent\, self-directed\, and an independent thinker. And—unlike Austen’s other heroines—she is rich and influential in her social circle; she doesn’t consider marriage to be her goal in life or the key to her future happiness.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn for an inspiring journey of faith and fellowship at this year’s Marian procession\, celebrating our diverse ecumenical and multicultural communities.  It will start with a Mornig Tea & Confession before Mass with Archbishop Christopher Prowse. At Midday the Ecumenial Rosary Procession will commence at the beautiful St Saviour’s Anglican Cathedral\, then proceed along Bourke St\, and arrive at the Our Lady of Mercy St Mary Chapel\, now lovingly maintained by the Catholic Lebanese Maronite community. \nThe pilgrimage will then conclude at the newly renovated Sts Peter & Paul’s Old Cathedral\, with Lunch at 1.30pm along with the Youth Rally also on then at the St Saviour’s Hall. \nAt 2.30pm the Veneration of Relics will be held before the end of the day’s events at 4pm. \nBring along your own lunch or purchase food at the event.  Tours exploring the rich history of Sts Peter & Paul’s will also be available.
