DESCRIPTION:Introducing you to the materials and techniques of this magical medium\, we will cover washes and colour mixing\, learning to handle the pigment for your own satisfaction\, to produce light and dark shades. We will use a variety of brushes to explore the effects that are possible. I will introduce you to different art papers available to use with watercolours. One of them is the school teacher. The other is a young woman. The replacement teacher arrives and tries to cope with the isolation and strange characters in the village. He starts to question his own sanity. The is something in this place that drives people to the brink. \nTickets are also available from box office at the theatre 1hr prior to each performance. \nThe River is supported by the Country Arts Support Program\, a devolved funding program administered by Southern Tablelands Arts on behalf of the NSW Government.

A full list of 2025 state-level events at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park\, CARCO.com.au Raceway\, Mallala Motorsport Park\, Sandown International Raceway\, Calder Park Raceway\, and Symmons Plains Raceway have been provided to categories to help build their 2025 calendars. SUMMARY:Gallery 2: Jackson Taylor ‘Since We've Met’
DESCRIPTION:‘Since We’ve Met’ is a series of faux-naive figurative paintings that seeks to capture universal moments within romantic relationships. I am interested in using genre painting to explore the interpersonal aspects of romantic relationships that might resonate for different people. Avoiding visual suggestions of specific identities\, the series presents a space where viewers can connect the moments represented in the paintings to their own experiences. \nThe paintings present figures in familiar scenarios that aim to speak to personal memories for viewers. By deliberately distorting proportions in both the figures and their environments\, I create a visual language aiming to capture the quintessence of romantic relationships. Stripped of any obvious narrative or judgment\, the paintings omit elements that might assert any one perspective or opinion on romantic relationships and instead hinge on an ambiguity that generates space for varying interpretations. Through this approach\, viewers are invited to connect with the work through their own experiences and memories of moments that might recall the people we love or have loved\, and the shared experiences we have had with those people. All relationships are of course distinct\, but by seeking out the common rather than the specific ‘Since We’ve Met’ offers a reflection on our shared humanity. SUMMARY:Primary School – Clay Pots & Sculptures
DESCRIPTION:This term is all about three-dimensional art forms. We will be making some funky face pots\, planning the expressions with some drawing first and adding texture and colour with under glazes. Using colour and design we will explore sculpture construction with cardboard\, glue\, paints and collage. I can’t wait to see these creations. \nCeramics will be fired and all artworks will be displayed in our mid-year exhibition.
