DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday the 11th of November a service will be held for Remembrance Day at the base of the Rocky Hill War Memorial Tower with Mayor Nina Dillon laying a wreath with all of the community welcome to attend. \nAs there is limited parking available a shuttle bus will be running from Carr Confoy Park from 9.30am – 10.30am & 11.15am – 12.30pm\, signage will be displayed so you will know where to go. The service will commence at 10.30am and its encouraged everyone be at Rocky Hill by 10.15am seated and ready for the service. \nThis year there will be mobility scooters available to take people from the car park up to the tower. Remembrance Day is a day to remember.

DESCRIPTION:What will it be? A box\, small table or group of small sculptures? In this class we are painting objects to transform their life and significance. Surface decoration can enhance the three-dimensional qualities and /or create illusions that take the object well beyond it’s original function and appearance. Techniques will be explored to create a compelling design and a lasting surface\, using acrylic paints and mediums. You will have time to prepare the surface\, before applying several layers of paint to create a fabulous finished product. SUMMARY:Hockey NSW Indoor State Championship – Under 18 Girls
DESCRIPTION:Hockey has been played in New South Wales since the early 1900’s.  \nThe NSW Men’s and Women’s Hockey Associations were formed in 1908\, followed by the NSW Junior Hockey Association in 1960. These Associations eventually merged in 2004\, forming a single administrative entity\, known as Hockey NSW.  \nToday\, Hockey NSW comprises 27 Associations and approximately 30\,000 registered hockey players in regional and metropolitan NSW. The player base represents men\, women\, boys and girls ranging from five years of age in introductory programs to players aged over sixty five in Masters Programs.  \nHockey NSW is even prouder of the fact that hockey can be considered the only true family game. \nCompetitors will be travelling from Nepean\, Parkes\, Illawarra\, South Coast\, Sydney\, Dubbo\, Grafton\, Bathurst\, Port Macquarie\, Newcastle as well as local Goulburn teams. \nProudly supported by Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

SUMMARY:John R Walker 'Forest Song'
DESCRIPTION:‘Forest Song’ is a meditation on trees as enduring lifeforms that hold memory and mark the passage of time. \nBraidwood-based artist John R. Walker’s work is informed by decades dedicated to walking\, drawing\, recording and exploring nature. Walker has travelled widely\, spending time in the forest and gullies in Badja\, tracing the banks of the Murray River\, and journeying through the expansive Flinders Ranges. He reads the land as complex and fragmentary\, where experience is shaped by who you are and how we encounter places. As Walker describes\, his work is about “taking his perception and transforming it into a pattern of marks.” \nOld trees stand as solitary figures within his work\, bearing witness to change\, collapse\, and renewal. Walker records trees in all their states — expansive\, grand\, reaching and full of energy — through to those in decline\, with missing limbs and hollow\, rotting cores. Even at the end of life\, these trees remain vital: supporting new growth\, offering habitat\, and sustaining the living systems around them. \nIn this exhibition\, Walker returns to an evocative palette of rich blacks and tones of blue\, a hallmark of his early career. Forest Song presents immersive large-scale painted ‘portraits’ of trees\, expressive drawings and fresh\, immediate monotypes that capture the movement of light and fleeting moments in time.
