(GEAR) is a motorsport club with its primary aim to allow historic and other motor racing vehicles to compete in regularity events in an atmosphere of safety and camaraderie. GEAR now incorporates 2nd Gear which has expanded GEAR’s boundaries to include later model racing cars, clubmans and tin tops. One Raceway is a 2.350km (1.460ml) motor racing circuit located near Goulburn NSW Australia. It is a reconstructed and improved circuit which is designed to run events both in a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, making this a very versatile and unique circuit. The name One Raceway was decided on by the new owner, Steve Shelley as a gesture to bring together the local community and the motor sport community as one. To preserve the history and recognise the future the Anti-clockwise directional circuit has been named Wakefield and the clockwise directional circuit, Shelley. One Raceway was formally known as Wakefield Park and was named after Charles Wakefield, the founder of Castrol. The founders of Wakefield Park, John Carter and amateur racer and former motor dealer, Paul Samuels felt that Castrol had been so influential in helping amateurs go motor racing that CC Wakefield should be honoured, especially as Samuels' and Carter's' circuit was intended for amateur racers in the likelihood in the 1990's of both Amaroo and Oran Park Raceways closing and amateur racers being unable to afford the daily hire rate at Eastern Creek Raceway.
