Etching so addictive, so why fight it? It is also entwined with drawing, so explore what you can do with this wonderous deep hole.
This class is for beginners, wanting to learn the techniques involved in creating a successful print, using etching. We will work through each step so that you are clear on what is involved. A successful etching starts with a drawing that you are prepared to spend time scratching into the dry point plate, transferring onto the plate, then inking carefully. We always print etchings through the press with damp paper for maximum success.
The course runs for 5 weeks on Thursdays 1 to 4pm on the 12th, 19th, 26th of Oct and the 2nd & 9th of Nov at the Creative Space Goulburn, 205 Auburn Street, Goulburn, NSW, 2580 (entrance of Clifford Street).
Cost is $250 and includes all tuition, materials, and afternoon tea.
