DESCRIPTION:The Waterworks\, built 1883-1885\, was the main supply of water to Goulburn residents until 1977. The grand Victorian Georgian style building represents the innovation and culmination of steam power technology of the late 1800s. The pumphouse still contains the functioning and original Appleby Bros Beam Engine pump and Galloway Boilers. \nWander the museum to view original machinery and discover the mechanics of this rare facility that is the only complete\, steam powered municipal water supply still in its original location in the Southern Hemisphere. \nVisit the Museum on Sunday 19 April\, 10am-3pm for a very special experience when the magnificent engines will be ‘steaming’. \nThe Museum is open every Saturday to Tuesday\, 10am-4pm. \nLight refreshments available or enjoy your own picnic on the banks of the Wollondilly River. \nThe Pumphouse Museum and the School House cafe are accessible for wheelchairs.

Businesses owners and individuals CAN self nominate using the same forms. \nThis year they are recognising all businesses at the Celebration Dinner\, which will be held on Saturday 2nd of May 2026 to honour all the finalists and announce the category winners. The Awards Celebration Dinner will be held at the Grace Millsom Centre\, from 6pm – 10pm. This ‘Gatsby’ inspired event will celebrate all of the fantastic businesses in the 2580 postcode with an evening of music\, trophies\, a 3 course meal and a lot of fun!. Tickets to the event are $110 per person for members\, $130 for non  members with tables of 10 available. \nThe Business 2580 Awards celebrate business in Goulburn and publicly promote and reward business excellence. The Award categories offer opportunities for each and every one of the over 2000 registered businesses in the Goulburn region. \nThere are 30 categories to nominate/vote in including 16 Business NSW State Awards and 14 Goulburn’s Favourite Awards. Award nominations are now open and will close on the 18th March 2026.

Come see horse archers take on Greek soldiers in combat\, a mass melee battle\, medieval dancers and musicians\, all whilst you sip on a mead or craft beer in their fully equipped medieval tavern! \nTheir village of camps from across history is guaranteed to have something of interest between shows! Come learn everything from Roman life to blacksmithing to medieval medicine! There will also be a full array of vendors in their medieval market\, so you can pick up that perfect fur or sword to finish your kit\, or go home with hand cast bronze or new books for the library. \nSo much packed into a single day\, its hard-to-get better value from an event.

DESCRIPTION:Explore historic Riversdale and view a rare Scottish Baroque music manuscript from the 1700’s\, on display for the very first time. \nSpend a day at Riversdale\, a National Trust NSW property with origins as a coach inn and later became home to the Twynam family for almost 100 years. \nStanding within its original paddocks and outbuildings\, Riversdale is a fine example of a Colonial Georgian home. Explore splendid seasonal gardens and picnic grounds and head inside to view a renowned collection of fine Australian Colonial furniture and arts and craft. \nOn display for the very first time will be a rare 300-year-old manuscript of Scottish baroque music\, discovered tucked away inside a piano at Riversdale in the 1980s. This small practice book\, etched with their own handwriting\, gives an intimate insight into the lives of two young women\, Margrat Arthour and Helen Wight\, whose music and stories have travelled across centuries and continents. \nSpecial exhibition on display for a limited time as part of the Australian Heritage Festival celebrations.

In her words\, I am “…essentially a self taught artist with help along the way from YouTube and from encouraging people including the kind and generous Stavroros Papantoniou who unfortunately passed away in 2023.  The portraits in this exhibition are of my children and grand children with one exception\, the collection of portraits of Marty Sanders\, an extraordinarily talented local actor.  When you see his face\, you will understand the compulsion to paint him.  \nThe landscapes in this exhibition are inspired by the view out my front door.  Light and Shade and the beauty of the Goulburn Sky are part of the music of my life”.

Soloists and groups regularly appear and the variety is always entertaining.  \nA vocal PA is available to use and each act is given 10 to 15 minutes to perform\, depending on the number of acts on the night. SUMMARY:Goulburn Historic Waterworks 'Steaming Days'
DESCRIPTION:Step back in time to the 1880’s when Goulburn was one of the first regional centres to supply piped drinking water to its residents. The Goulburn Historic Waterworks has remained intact with a pumphouse and working steam beam engine. It is located in an idyllic setting on the banks of the Wollondilly River.  \nThis rare facility is the only complete\, steam-powered municipal water supply left in its original location in the Southern Hemisphere. The buildings and engines are of national significance and are now protected by a permanent conservation order. \nThe Institution of Mechanical Engineers are presenting the Engineering Heritage Award to the amazing staff and volunteers for all the ongoing work and care that goes into the operation of the magnificent Appleby Bros Beam Engine on show at the Goulburn Historic Waterworks. \nCome and witness the spectacle of these magnificent pieces of machinery in operation for the Steampunk Victoriana Fair 2023. \nTake a tour of the Pumphouse Museum and historic Waterworks. See the 130-year-old Appleby Beam Engine and Hick Hargreaves Corliss Valve Engine under steam.  \nBring your own for a picnic by the river and the children can play in the playground. \nEntry is by donation. \n*dates are subject to change\, please contact the Goulburn Historic Waterworks Museum in advance to confirm dates. \nProudly supported by Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

DESCRIPTION:Cystic Fibrosis Goulburn and District is a not for profit local charity and is again hosting their annual 65 Roses Charity Dinner. \nThe night will include a three-course dinner\, an auction and live entertainment from local band Leaving Reality\, with tickets available from Goulburn Workers.  \nCystic Fibrosis is the most common\, life-shortening genetic condition in Australia. A child with CF is born every four days\, and whilst medical research is improving – there is no cure. \nFor 50 years\, dedicated teams of volunteers have been providing financial assistance to local families affected by Cystic Fibrosis to help with ongoing treatment costs and equipment expenses.  \nEfforts of awareness continue to contribute to much-needed medical research to help reach their goal of “Zero Lives Affected By Cystic Fibrosis”.
