The Lilac City Festival is Australia's longest continuously-run community festival. It was established in 1951 and has occurred annually, every October Long Weekend ever since.

Like it did in 2020 the Lilac City Festival will go digital due to COVID-19 in 2021.

The crowning of the Lilac Queen, Princess, Prince & Baby will all still go ahead with announcements of the winners held online. The service of blessing for Goulburn will also still take place on Sunday.

Everyone can still get involved by decorating their homes and businesses, dressing up their windows in purple and lilac colours with the winners announced online on Sunday.
